Who teaches it?

National Coach Certification Program (NCCP) trained professional coaches teach all of our PreStar programs.

What will you learn?

In the PreStar program skaters will learn a variety of introductory figure skating elements including Turns, Jumps, Spins, and Field Moves.

What can you expect?

The PreStar program is a 45 minute fully instructed Intro to figure skating program. The PreStar session runs in conjunction with the club's CanSkate program.

What do you need to participate?

All you need are lace up skates, a CSA-approved hockey helmet, long pants, mittens, warm sweater or jacket. Dress in layers – it will get warm! Not all skaters in the PreStar program require a helmet. Each skater must be assessed by a coach according to the Skate Canada Helmet policy before their helmet can be removed.
